Scripture: Matthew 11:28
“Sharing the things of the soul is an integral part of building intimate relationships. Trusting another person enough to share the burdens of your heart and discuss the secrets of your innermost being is a huge milestone in this development. It is easy to share the things that go well, when you are successful, and when you are happy. However, it is more difficult to admit to failures when you are overwhelmed and when you are fearful.” –Teresa Reynolds, Fruit of the Vine
Query: Where is there more room for trust in your life and in your relationships?
Along with all the Broken Pieces
“You will be reconciled,” I heard
“It’s only a matter of when.”
So I wrote the letter that got no reply
Smiled across the way at the store
Didn’t duck down the next aisle
And as I did
I held for us both the certainty of wholeness
Because I can see it so clearly
So clearly
The way we will one day
In this world or a new one
Laugh and cry together
At the silly ways our hurt
And keen grief kept us apart
We will rejoice at the reuniting
What a powerful capacity
Seeing what is not yet
but will be
I can feel it taking shape
No, it has already taken shape
It is the truest becoming
